+ The organisers will restrict the prize available to the Saturday champion - i.e. they do not get a free pick from the available prizes.
Some of the trophies are professionally painted minis on a stand. The remainder are engraved medals. Any remaining prizes are given out to comeback champion, furthest travelled coach, best defence, toughest team and then in the order of tournament placing. The prize pool will be finalised shortly prior to the tournament
Unlucky Door Prizes achieve an unlucky feat and win!
That's right, the Unlucky Door Prize returns to Eucalyptus Bowl! After its successful return in 2011, the Unlucky Door Prize will continue in 2012 with new prizes to help players celebrate their horrible luck. Watch this space for more information on the prizes coming soon!
- Triple Skulls - The first player to roll Triple Skulls from a single toss.
- Suicide Play - The first player to have a player on their team killed via their own action. e.g. failed dodge, failed GFI etc.
- So Close! - The first player who fails to score a TD due to failed GFI with a reroll.
- Free Gift - The first player who has possession of the ball during his turn but ends his turn with his opponent in possession of the ball.
The Boggy Hunt
In 2011 a new side game was introduced called The Boggy Hunt. Players who wanted to participate named one of their linemen Boggy and kept track of his progress throughout the tournament in terms of SPP earned and casualties suffered. On the end of the second day prizes were awarded for the Best Boggy (Boggy who earned the most SPP), the Worst Boggy (Boggy who suffered the most Cas) and the Boggy Killer (the player who inflicted the most pain onto other Boggy’s). There was also a bounty on each and every Boggy’s head, and the first player to kill a Boggy each round won a free drink!
Details for 2012 are still being finalised but the event was a big hit and will definitely return to Eucalyptus Bowl!
